The Escapist — Hoodie

The Escapist — Hoodie

The Escapist places a weary face whose head opens into a crowded city across the back of a Punkrabbits hoodie. A smaller front mark introduces the thought before the larger image comes into view.

Artwork and meaning

The Escapist gives the place someone wants to flee a home inside their own head. Buildings, empty windows, a balloon and a small airship rise over a weary face; the route out may be imagined before it can be taken. The print makes escape feel both necessary and complicated, a map drawn from the same mind that feels trapped.

The buildings rise above the eyes. The gaze stays low.

Artwork details

• Back: large weary face with a city of rooftops growing from the head
• Front: small Escapist script
• Visual language: Gold woodcut lines turn the forehead into a town of pitched roofs. Bare trees and clouds frame the portrait inside a hard rectangular border.

The Distressed Souls series

Distressed Souls turns private states of mind into portraits that can be seen, challenged and carried. In The Escapist, the image follows the urge to leave a world that travels inside you. The series moves between unease, memory, enchantment and escape with enough humor and defiance to give the wearer a way into the conversation. Its names describe the artwork’s characters, not the person wearing it.

Who this hoodie is for

For fans of surreal cities, dreamlike escape narratives and detailed gold back art. It suits someone who wants an image with a human contradiction to examine, not a simple label to accept.
