Thank God Its Friday — Hoodie

Thank God Its Friday — Hoodie

Thank God Its Friday brings a hockey-style horror mask with rabbit ears, red slash marks and a scribbled circular frame to a black Punkrabbits hoodie. The large back artwork gives this uneasy character room to confront the street behind you.

Artwork and meaning

The title sounds like relief at the end of a workweek; the face looks ready for a very different Friday. The bunny ears pull the horror image into Punkrabbits territory, where a joke can sharpen rather than soften a threat.

The weekend greeting is still there. The face underneath gives it a new tone.

Artwork details

• Back: large illustrated composition
• Front: smaller coordinating graphic shown in the gallery
• Visual language: A pale mask stands out against black, with red cuts and loose ring lettering giving the image the energy of a distressed film poster. Gold TGIF type lands as the punch line.

The Masks We Wear series

The Masks We Wear looks at the roles people adopt to survive, impress, conceal or command. In Thank God Its Friday, the image takes on the cheerful social mask that barely contains exhaustion, dread and a taste for dark humor. The series asks when a mask protects a person and when it begins to consume them.

Who this hoodie is for

For horror-art fans, Friday-night cynics and people who like a familiar phrase with a sinister second reading. The piece suits someone who enjoys a graphic that starts a conversation and leaves room for their own reading.

Hoodie, fit and sizing

Unisex pullover hoodie with a drawcord hood, pouch pocket and ribbed cuffs and hem. Check the product size chart against a hoodie you already own. Choose your usual size for the intended fit, or size up if you want extra room for layers. Available sizes are in the options; the listed color is Black.

How to wear it

Wear it over a plain tee with dark denim or wide black trousers. Leave the back exposed when you want the portrait to read at its full scale. The black base keeps the pale, gold and red elements clear.

Print and care

Original Punkrabbits artwork printed on the garment. Wash inside out in cold water with similar colors; tumble dry low or hang dry. Avoid ironing directly over the print, and follow the garment care label for additional instructions.

Thank God Its Friday — Friday has a face.
